Itinerary:
Friday: Drive down to the DTC, set up camp most likely at Abraham Slabs or Preachers Point.
Saturday: We split up based on desired activity and group composition. One or two groups for climbing, and probably one group for hiking. Meet back at camp later in the day to share stories, hang around a fire, etc.
Sunday: We split up based on desired activity and group composition. One or two groups for climbing, and probably one group for hiking. Drive back home in early or late afternoon, maybe after some pie.
Prerequisites / Courses Required: Good fitness level. If you want to climb, a belay certification from a climbing gym.
Required items to bring: If climbing, harness, shoes, helmet minimum. If hiking, hiking boots or shoes, a daypack, water bottles, clothing as needed for expected weather. A full gear list can be sent out closer to the departure date.
As per club guidelines, participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation.
